psychosocial stress and related factors (e.g. coping, social supports, personality characteristics, biological processes, etc.) play in physical and psychological health and well-being in African Americans and other ethnic minority populations.
Shelley E. Taylor
Professor Taylor’s research interests include the psychological and social origins and moderators of biological responses to stress, such as social support, social cognition, self-regulation, stress and coping, positive illusions, and social neuroscience. Professor Taylor no longer accepts students to her lab.
